Jacob Coakley, editor of Las Vegas Spa & FitnessA note from the Editor

Hello! I’m Jacob Coakley, editor of Las Vegas Spa & Fitness magazine. I hope you’ll join me as we shine a light on the vibrant world of health, beauty and fitness here in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas has become a world-renowned destination by offering entertainment, games, food and luxury found nowhere else—giving travelers the best of life, even if only for a few days. Not surprisingly, the high-end spas here are equal to everything else Vegas has to offer—which is to say, they provide a level of service, pampering and luxury that can’t be found anywhere else on earth. Las Vegas Spa & Fitness will embody this high-end luxury in a beautiful, glossy magazine that promotes the ultimate in spa experiences and environments.

I made the desert my home thanks to the unique opportunities Las Vegas presented me. And while I can’t live the grand life every day (but certainly do a few times a year!) my health and fitness remain a vital part of my life. I’m addicted to endorphins, and dedicated to my training. Thousands of others in Las Vegas are, too, which is why gyms seem to sprout up everywhere, trainers are in high demand, and mixed martial arts is practically the official sport of Las Vegas. Las Vegas Spa & Fitness is also dedicated to reaching this audience, educating them about the best ways to keep fit and stay healthy.

Away from the flash of the strip, my training allows me to stay grounded and centered in this sometimes frenetic city. Las Vegas Spa & Fitness celebrates and promotes an aspect of Las Vegas that can be lost among the lights, but is an elemental part of this city amidst the desert: a commitment to self-care and self-growth. It’s meant for travelers and for locals, showing everyone how to thrive in this unique environment.
